So Ive not posted for a long time as I have been so busy! Ive recently just got home from a week in New York which was AMAZING! My work was being exhibited at Surtex trade show which was a fantastic opportunity! I also had chance to work on the Cleveland College of Art and Design stand at Surtex too. I will be uploading some photos from my trip to New York very soon!
After arriving back from New York I had my Degree Show to set up at CCAD. The work exhibited is my Final Major Project, which is a collection of printed and embellished surface design for Fashion. Everybody's work looks fantastic and shows a lot of talent! I am very proud of my work.
The Show is open to the public until Saturday the 15th June so come along and have a look!

I've been pretty busy recently beginning the design development process of my Final Major Project! I have been creating fashion layouts from my drawing, and developing them into koda traces for screens so I can begin sampling. I've also began sampling with embroidery and using some of the gorgeous threads and beads that I received from my sponsor from Hobbycraft. This week I have also spent a lot of time in the dye lab experimenting with dyes and fabrics to create the perfect colours for my collections. I will update you with more photos next week! x

This week I attended a lecture by photographer Richard Whitehead. He spoke of his fascinating careers and experiences since graduating university, showing us photographs which he had took during his life experiences. The lecture was very interesting and I loved hearing of his experiences, which he brought to life with his photography. His website shows many of these photographs which I recommend you to have a look at!

Sponsorship!
I work part-time on a weekend at Hobbycraft and the store has kindly decided to sponsor me for my Degree Show and Final Major Project which is fantastic! They have supplied me with various items which I will need to help me with my work and Degree Show.
Gorgeous threads and beads which match my mood and colour perfectly! Can't wait to begin embroidering with these!
